Citation Issues

Church as author, historic or contemporary name?

Reference citing Church Books: Named Volume Held by Church (p. 311), would you use the name of the church as it is known today?

St. John-St. Matthew-Emanuel Lutheran Church (Brooklyn, New York), "Marriages, 1901–1905," p. 438, no. 19, Robert Burnside Ward and Mrs. Mary A. Peters, nee Kane (1904); parish rectory, Brooklyn.

Or, would you cite the original name as author and the contemporary name as the repository, even though they are the same physical location?

Newspaper citation of image received from second party who received from third party

This is my first time asking a question, though I have followed other questions the past year. I paid for some research at the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center in Rock Island, Illinois. I received some wonderful image copies of newspaper articles/obituaries. I'm trying to now write citations for them.

Primary Valuation (Griffiths) Ireland

I would be interested to know how others have cited Griffiths Primary Valuation and Valuation Revision Books (Ireland) in Legacy. None of the available options listed in the Source Template Index on Legacy would appear to be what I need, but that might be because I don't understand many of the terms used in the lists?

Draft registration cards

The examples that you have provided for draft registration cards include in the reference notes something like "Local Draft Board 1."  There are a lot of cards that don't say "Local Draft Board" or "Draft Board" on them.  For example, the one of Irwin Skolly, at Ancestry, serial no. 9227, order no. 150, has Precinct, which is crossed out, and 17 E.D. - 8 H.D. written in, followed by City or County N.Y., and State N.Y.

Does a registration card mean a local draft board?  If so, can we add those words to the reference note? Of should we not and simply go with the other information?

Scotlandsplaces website

Editor, Greetings again!
I am struggling with a citation model for the Scotlandsplaces website. The databases on this website are various. I am using placenames A-Z for various farmsteads in the parish of Old Deer, Aberdeenshire. For example: Slampton farmstead. The citiation model I have created is:

National Archives of Scotland, " Ordinance Survey Name Books, 1865-1871," database, Scotlandplaces.gov.uk.(italics) (www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk: accessed 10 August 2015), entry for Slampton, parish of Old Deer, Aberdeenshire; citing OS1/1/68/139.

FHL film numbers for online images at FamilySearch

I've read EE 2.24 - 2.31, but it didn't seem to answer how to cite film numbers for online images of film at FamilySearch.

Then I saw the first reference note on page 439, EE 9.6, where the film number is part of the quotation in the citing part of the note.

Then I looked at the fourth reference note on page 469, EE 9.42, where no film number is given as part of the quotation in the citing part of the note.  Checking the FamilySearch website, I saw that a film number was given for the image, it being 2,138,819.
