Citing various years of Henderson's Directories for one location

I've read over sections 12.55-12.58 in the 3rd edition (revised) on the subject of citing directories, but am still a bit uncertain as to how to shorten and consolidate citations for a span of years, especially when I've found the directories imaged online.

I believe that a typical (full length) first reference note might look something like this;

Henderson Directories, Henderson’s Greater Calgary city directory for 1925, comprising a complete street and avenue directory of the city and adjoining districts, an alphabetically arranged list of business firms and companies, professional men and private citizens and a complete classified business directory and buyers' guide (Calgary, Alberta: Henderson Directories Alberta, 1925), 29 [title page] & 514 [entry for "Murison, Thos B"]; imaged as Peel's Prairie Provinces (http://peel.library.ualberta.ca/bibliography/2961.20 : downloaded 11 December 2020), pp. 29 & 514.

Different years for Calgary indicate very minor differences in the content shown after "Henderson’s Greater Calgary city directory for 1925."

However; I also need to cite the same series of directories for 1921 through 1927. (1926 was missing from the set available online and will have it's own citation).

Would the following be acceptable;

Source List

Directories, Henderson. Henderson’s Greater Calgary city directory [varying subtitles]. Calgary, Alberta: Henderson Directories Alberta, 1921-1927.

First Reference Note

Henderson Directories, Henderson’s Greater Calgary city directory for 1921 (Calgary, Alberta: Henderson Directories Alberta, 1921), 53 [title page] & 552 [entry for "Murison, Thos B"]. See also the title page and "Murison, Thos B" entries in Henderson's directories for subsequent years with varying subtitles, specifically: (1922) 53 & 560, (1923) 41 & 527, (1924) 37 & 510, (1925) 29 & 514, (1927) 29 & 536. Images of specified pages imaged at Peel's Prairie Provinces (http://peel.library.ualberta.ca/bibliography : downloaded 11 December 2020), (1921) peel no. 2961.16 ... (1925) 2961.20 & (1927) 2961.20. 1926 edition not available.

Thank you. The citation was a bit more complex than usual and I thought I'd best check that I had something that "works."

Thanks for raising the question History-Hunter! I am working through this very scenario. :) Could you not shortened your citation a tad by using the URL directly to the list of Calgary directories (http://peel.library.ualberta.ca/bibliography/2961.html)? I would think it then wouldn't be necessary to provide the Peel numbers for each year. The reader could easily click on the year in the list and then jump to the pages you provided in the citation.
