"Citation on Bond" - What is this??

Hi, I was reading a quarterly newsletter and found my person of interest in a section called "Odds and Ends." The "title" of the section is "Citation on Bond." What in the world might this be. If I can verify this information with an original source, it would help me prove a death date. Here is a link to the newletter: https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/519389/ . It's on image 20.

Thanks so much!!

Hi, Taylor. The link is not working. This is what it gives me.

When I used the "Advance Search" option, this is what I get:

Can you provide a citation to the newsletter itself, so I can fill in the blanks above?

Whoops! Sorry about that. The identifier to enter on that link is "739417_19." It will be on image 20 of 138.

This link should also pull it up: https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/519389-scgs-v-19-scotland-county-genealogical-society-quarterly-newsletter-missouri

Additional information just in case:

Title: SCGS, v.19 ; Scotland County Genealogical Society quarterly newsletter (Missouri) Creator: Scotland County Genealogical Society (Memphis, Missouri)

Taylor, thanks for the working link.  It is indeed frustrating when a publication provides a list of names and dates with no identification of the source and no explanation of what the list represents.

The phrase “citation on bond” usually appears as citation on bond forfeiture—i.e.,  a citation (writ to appear) issued to someone who had had signed a bond and failed to meet its conditions, in which case the bond was subject to forfeiture.

Have you studied the court records of that county for the individuals on that list?
