Citation Issues

Hello,

I have a series of  newspaper articles that were originally published in The Greenwich Journal and Fort Edward Advertiser (Greenwich, NY) between 1955-1958. There is a total of 86 articles. They were written by the Argyle Town Historian. I only have the clippings of these and not page and column information and there maybe some confussion on which actual newspaper they came from. I am working to sort that issue out. These articles were each given an article number ie. "article 51"

I am trying to figure out the proper way to cite 19th century Eastern European vital records. Specifically, they are Polish records (written in Russian). They are scans sent from a branch of the Polish State Archive, and are not "church records."Also, the records were obtained using index information from http://jri-poland.org (if you are familar with that site).

Hello all!

This past months were very inspiring to me cause I had chance to visit many Local Archives in Western Serbia and to see many original documents and papers that are stored in State Archives of Serbia and University Library here in Belgrade.

Ok, so I've looked around a bit and did some searches and didn't come up with a satisfactory answer or workaround, so I'll try here.

My EE is getting tattered and so are my nerves with FTM.

I'm having trouble crafting a citation for an online image of a Soundex index card for naturalization records.  I realize that I should try to acquire the actual naturalization paperwork, but until I can afford to order it, I'd like to simply cite the online image which contains some good information, including my ancestor's name, address, country of allegiance, date of naturalization, and witness's name and address.

Here is the link to the actual image at FamilySearch I'd like to create a citation for.  I've also uploaded an image below.

I've noticed that generic descriptions for a birth/marriage/death certificates used in citations rather than the titles of those certificates.

For example the image of the death certificate used in EE 9.33, Oneline Databases & Images (County Level), example (3) shows heading "State of Tennessee, State Board of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics, Certificate of Death".

It's cited in EE 9.33 like this:
Shelby County, Tennessee, death certificate no. 114 (file no.) 116 (reg. no.), "Infant Day," ...

I need to cite online image copies of a Danish church book. These are my observations:

<ul>

<li>The church books (original paper ones) are now kept by the Danish National Archive in Viborg.</li>

<li>The digitized church books are at the website of the Danish National Archives.</li>

There are a few online databases that have no obvious name, and so make it hard to cite them umabiguously. The ones I'm thinking of all fall into the FreeUKGEN projects; the most familiar of these being FreeBMD.

I have been studying EE citation models for Scotland Archives  records. I have a photocopy of a will acquired in 1987. I recently emailed the Archives of Scotland asking for a citation model. This is what was returned.

"The precise reference is National Records of Scotland testament testamentar of William Murray, retired fish curer in Stuartfield, Wick confirmed in Register of inventories and wills, Wick Sheriff Court  reference SC14/40/32 pages 305-325."

Stuartfield was the name of Williams home on Francis Street in Wick.
