How would one go about citing the teaser page? I don't have a newspapers.com subscription, but make do with the OCR text at the bottom of the page. At times, it is really bad, mixing several columns, but in this example, the OCR text is pretty understandable, with only a bit of mix up. But I don't want to make it appear that my information is from the digital image, since I wasn't able to examine that closely. I suspect if you already have a newspapers.com subscription, you'd need to log out to see how it looks to non-subscribers.
I want build the reference to the fact that Helen Dorsam was on the 2nd honor roll at Dubois High School, (3 A's, none less than a B). I can see from the small digital image the article was headed "Dubois School Notes" and was in col 4 & likely continued into col 5.
My best guess is:
"Dubois School Notes," The Herald (Jasper, IN), 1 Feb 1955, p. 2, col. 4 & 5; OCR text and small digital image (http://www.newspapers.com/newspage/31475180/ : accessed 9 May 2015).
But that doesn't cite the specific person. However, do I really want to cite one person out of a list?

In the mean time, you can cite to the original image by replacing the words "newspage" with "image" in the URL. Here is how I would cite this article.
"Dubois High School Notes," The Herald (Jasper, Indiana), 1 February 1955, p. 2, col. 4-5, Second Honor Helen Dorsam; digital images, Newspapers.com (http://www.newspapers.com/image/31475180/ : accessed 12 May 2015).
I welcome any suggestions or critiques from others more experienced.
When I cite newspapers, I always try to get high resolution images of the entire page and add the citation at the bottom. I went ahead and did this for you. See attached.
