My attempt at citing this published annual report. I don't think the layers are right.
Canada Department of Marine and Fisheries, (9th) Annual Report, Department of Fisheries (1876), (Ottawa : Department of Marine and Fisheries, 1869-1884), p. 158; Government of Canada Publications, (https://publications.gc.ca/collections/collection_2015/mpo-dfo/MA1-1876-eng.pdf) > Browse Publications > Annual report of the Department of Marine and Fisheries for the year ... > 1876 > MA1-1876-eng.pdf (PDF, 18.19 MB)., p.158.
Nancy, why do you "not think…
Nancy, why do you "not think the layers are right"?
If I just say "This is what EE does ... ," then you learn nothing to help you next time because (presumably) you already have EE. Please do tell us what you're uncertain about, and why. That way, we have something concrete to discuss.
Thank you. I was trying to…
Thank you. I was trying to be succinct. I am using 13.38 as a guide. One school of thought says that a citation of a facsimile does not require citation of the image. I think it is courteous to readers to cite the online image. I am using 13.38 as a guide. If I cite the actual url of the 1876 report it takes readers to the general Government of Publications page which links to a search page. It is possible to link directly to the page which lists all the annual reports which requires the reader to scroll down to 1876 and select 1876 not 1876-1. New version:
Canada Department of Marine and Fisheries, (9th) Annual Report, Department of Fisheries (1876), (Ottawa : Department of Marine and Fisheries, 1869-1884), p. 158, Pictou Island; digital image, Government of Canada Publications (https://publications.gc.ca/site/eng/9.805897/publication.html : accessed 25 February 2023) >1876 > 1876 > image 227 of 767.
1876 twice because the other option is 1876 > 1876-1.
