Very Long Bible (or book) Title

I am citing a family bible in my possession. This particular bible has a very long title, at least 123 words long that take up almost a whole page.

I question if it is advisable to quote the whole 123-word long title, or would the first two or three lines suffice?  (I would use the whole title for the first citation, but would probably shorten it thereafter)

Just curious for input. I have included very long titles before, but this is an extreme case.

Thanks,

Hello, S. D. Hamblen:

A 123-word title just might set a record!

If you have not discovered these passages, EE4 at 13.21 (or EE3r 12.21)  address the basic guidelines for creating shortened titles.  A number of examples throughout both editions illustrate how to effect that shortening with different types of published sources. (If you have an electronic edition of EE1 through 3r, just query for the word "shortened.")

All might be summarized in one sentence from EE4 15.14:

TITLES, SHORTENED: When a title is shortened, it should still include enough words to convey the subject matter and distinguish it from other titles in your Source List.

Within that framework, we are free to exercise our judgment.
