I am working on citations for DNA match data that is now available with Ancestry's Pro Tools. I started with the general citation for DNA matches at Ancestry:
"AncestryDNA results for [test taker]," on-request report, Ancestry (https://www.ancestry.com : accessed date), predicting [x] genetic relationship with [match] sharing [#] cM across [#] DNA segments.
When creating the citation for the DNA shared between a match and a shared match, should be still include the shared DNA with the test taker? For example:
"AncestryDNA results for [test taker]," on-request report, Ancestry (https://www.ancestry.com : accessed date), predicting [x] genetic relationship with [match] sharing [#] cM across [#] DNA segments and predicting [x] genetic relationship with [match] and [shared match] sharing [#] cM across [#] DNA segments.
Or is it sufficient to cite just the DNA data between the match and shared match? For example:
"AncestryDNA results for [test taker]," on-request report, Ancestry (https://www.ancestry.com : accessed date), predicting [x] genetic relationship with [match] and [shared match] sharing [#] cM across [#] DNA segments.
TIA for any feedback or suggestions.

Kristin, if the amount of DNA shared with the match is not stated in the text of your discussion, then it needs to be included in your citation.
