My son recently wrote a beautiful obituary for his grandfather, my father-in-law. It was not published in a newspaper, the family did not want that expense. It was "published," if you will on the funeral home's website. And, my son posted it in his Facebook feed. His original typed obituary (a Word document) was given to me. He also sent me the electrons of the obituary for inclusion in my genealogy software. I'd like to attach a copy of the obituary to the facts it documents on my Family Tree Maker software and create a source citation for it. I thought of authored works (self-published), but that doesn't really seem to apply. I considered private holdings (personal correspondence) again, that doesn't seem to apply. I'm struggling on how best to do this and I'm not finding a Source Title, Template, Format in Family Tree Maker that would be applicable.

Tracy, what a special heirloom that will be for your family. Given that you prefer to cite the original copy in family possession, then it would be appropriate to cite it as a family artifact. See EE 3.25.
I cannot tell you what the equivalent is in Family Tree Maker. I do not use that software and have no affiliation with it.
