Hello, EE,
I’m puzzled by what seems to me to be an inconsistency in EE4’s construction of subsequent reference notes for state-level vital records certificates and register pages viewed as online images. Sect. 11.39, p. 451, subsequent note 13, does not mention the website. That’s as I expected for a subsequent note. However, Sect. 11.40, p. 453, subsequent note 13, reads:
“Texas Deaths, 1890–1976,” FamilySearch, certificate image, Walter Preston Morse, 1942, no. 2908.
Is there some particular reason why the website is mentioned here? Based on what I thought I understood previously, I would have omitted the website from the subsequent note. I also probably would have included the name of the county. My subsequent citation would have been:
“Texas Deaths, 1890–1976,” certificate image, Harrison County, Walter Preston Morse, 1942, no. 2908.
I’d very much appreciate more specific guidance about how to decide whether or not to include the website in these types of reference notes.
Thank you very much.

F.T.C., thank you for…
F.T.C., thank you for inquiring. In EE4, §11.39 n. 13 has an editing error that resulted from converting an EE3 example to a newer type. It has been flagged for correction at the next printing. The note should read:
“Tennessee, U.S. Death Records, 1908–1965,” Ancestry, certificate image, Carrie Mae Jeffcoat, 1963, no. 63-36986.
