I've run across an issue I've never had before. My ancestor's marriage record starts in one record file (it's actually 3 files for the same year) and then continues in the second file. How do I cite this? The majority of the information is in the second file, but the date and location are in the first.

MYoung99, when a single document of this type is split between two separate files, then our citation will need to cite each or all files that comprise the document.
You did not mention what edition of EE or what section of that edition you are trying to follow, but examples for citing French vital records imaged online by departmental websites are at EE4 §11.46 under "Online Database Entry or Image." The template to follow is Template 5: Complex Website.
