Citation Issues

Citation of a Newspaper Article from a FHL Film

I want to cite a newspaper article from a film from the Family History Library.  The film series is titled, "Annals of Savannah : 1850-1937, a digest and index of the newspaper record of events and opinions, abstracted from the files of the Savannah Morning News."  The particular film that I am citing is film #1613424, 1888, 1880-1890.

Based on your conversation here:  https://www.evidenceexplained.com/content/newspaper-articles  I have worked out this citation.

"Larcenies," Savannah Morning News, 16 September 1890, p. 8, col. 6; FHL microfilm 1613424.

Census online database - Census online images

I'm not understanding the difference between these two categories. For example: p. 270-72 provides examples for databases for HeritageQuest and Ancestry and the example for Digital images for Ancestry. To add to my confusion I have seen both HeritageQuest and Ancestry cited as "database and image" in the same citation. Add FamilySearch and Fold3 to the group providing census information and my brain acts like a GPS - always "recalculating." While the examples differ for the database and images, I'm not understanding why.

RE: QuickLesson 19 - Layered Citations / Penned Question

Dear Editor,

After our discusson on another question about Family Tree Maker, Templates vs Free Form, I went back to QuickLesson 19, to help me refresh my understanding of Layering. You layed out the layering very well, and I thank you.

In looking at QuickLesson 19, I was reminder of at least one place where I saw the Website Title show up.

Getting contact from someone at Evidence Explained

Forgive me for pasting my message here but I have been trying for days to contact whoever is in control at Evidenceexplained.com with no such luck.

I purchased a copy of the digital book but haven't received it yet after several days - can somebody please reply to one of my emails (check your spam folder).

Thank you,

Citation conundrum

Hello,

I have a series of  newspaper articles that were originally published in The Greenwich Journal and Fort Edward Advertiser (Greenwich, NY) between 1955-1958. There is a total of 86 articles. They were written by the Argyle Town Historian. I only have the clippings of these and not page and column information and there maybe some confussion on which actual newspaper they came from. I am working to sort that issue out. These articles were each given an article number ie. "article 51"

Citing Eastern European Vital Records

Greetings from an Evidence Explained newbie!

I am trying to figure out the proper way to cite 19th century Eastern European vital records. Specifically, they are Polish records (written in Russian). They are scans sent from a branch of the Polish State Archive, and are not "church records."Also, the records were obtained using index information from http://jri-poland.org (if you are familar with that site).

Thanks, in advance, for your help!
